Talk Story: March 2026

I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. These past few weeks have been difficult for many in Hawaii, especially on the North Shore, Palolo, and my hometown of Manoa. Before the storm, I had just returned from a mom‑daughter trip to St. Augustine and Charleston. It was my first time visiting both, and I was completely taken by Charleston’s historic charm — the architecture, cobblestone streets, and beautifully restored buildings home to everything from small boutiques to southern comfort food and creative dining spots. It was a special trip for us to spend time together and explore housing options in Florida as she waits on decisions from a few college nursing programs.

Coming home to Honolulu and seeing the effects of the heavy rains was a reminder of how quickly things can shift and how much our homes truly ground us.

As we ease into spring, I’m seeing renewed activity in the market, especially for move‑in‑ready single‑family homes. This is often the time of year when homeowners start thinking about small updates or future plans.
